The season of monsoon is upon us and so are it’s side effects. Apart from the humidity that is caused by these seasonal rains, the stinky odors everywhere can be quiet frustrating. Soon after it rains, everything starts smelling bad, from your house to your car and even the clothes that have been just washed.
Here are some tips that will help you get rid of the bad smells:
Vinegar or baking soda
Add a cup of white vinegar or baking soda into the wash while washing your clothes. Vinegar and baking soda will neutralize bad odors and help to get rid of that unpleasant stale smell caused by the rain.
Sea Salt
Sea Salt is hygroscopic in nature so it can soak up odors and can help you get rid of the dampness and excessive humidity in your surroundings. Place some sea salt in a mesh cloth and leave it in the room. Keep changing the salt every three days.
Footwear
Avoid wearing closed used while its rainy season. Wear flip flops or open sandals so there can not be a buildup of bad odors or even fungus.
Damp clothes
Do not fold clothes until they have dried properly or else they would start smelling really bad. Wait for sun to come out and dry your clothes in sun light to avoid bad smell.
Air Freshener
Make sure to use a good air freshener at your house and even in you car so that the rain smell can not effect your drive and mood as well.
